There are two types of fresh-water pearls, round and oval. The third type is a saltwater pearl that is round. Today, all pearls formed by the culturing process, meaning that a pearl formed, as a result of, human intervention.
Once the pearl is extracted from the oyster, we give you three choices of lockets: the sea turtle, better known as the honu, a sea star locket and a plumeria flower, which is a very common flower in Hawaii. These lockets are our own designs. Plated in white gold, these no tarnish necklaces will put a smile on any wearers face.
Each oyster holds a colorful surprise within. It is not unusual to find a high luster black pearl inside these oysters. Some of the colors of these cultured pearls are: white, pink, orange, yellow, aubergine, lavender, blueberry and cream. The wish pearl shapes are oval and near round; they all fit nicely in the pendant lockets that come with them. These pearls come in an easy to open container along with a color chart to that tells you what each color of the pearl means. Our basic colors of pearls have special meanings, for example, a white pearl would mean (good fortune), a pink pearl would mean (success), an orange pearl (passion) and black pearl would mean (good luck). There is no need to drill the pearl or polish it these gems are ready to go inside the locket.
The wish pearl kit is ready for shipping and flight travel; there is no need to worry about getting these oyster kits home. Children as well as adults love opening and finding there very own pearl inside the mollusk. By fishing for your own pearl it gives you a better appreciation of the pearl itself and its value.
